Hi,
I am Helena. I come from Latvia, a small and beautiful country on the Baltic sea, in Northeastern Europe. I’m living in China, Ningbo (coastal city in Zhejiang province, China) since September 2012. At first I came here as a language student, but afterwards I did my Master’s degree too and now it seems that I’m here to stay…at least for a while.
I have always loved travelling and am amazed by beautiful nature. Since I’m in China I have had a chance to discover this part of the world and see that China has so much to offer for travel enthusiasts for every taste: big modern cities, ancient towns, seas, beaches, forests, deserts, mountains, and many more.
I have already visited many Chineese provinces and cities and there are still so much to see. Many of my friends have asked me for travelling tips and suggestions, thus, I decided to start my own blog about my travels, adventures and life in China.
I haven’t quit my job, or sold my belongings to travell all over the world for uncertain period of time, but I do love to travel and explore new destinations now and then. I try to visit different places whenever I can. I love nature and outdoors, sports and just active lifestyle. I prefer backpacking and staying in cool hostels or guesthouses. But sometimes a nice hotel is also good for a change.
Thus, with this blog I would like to summarize my experience about travelling in China, and hope that there might be something useful for you, if you decide to make similar trips.
