It is known that Ningbo is surrounded by mountains and there are plenty of hiking options. One of my latest discoveries was a glass walkway which is a part of Xuedou Mountain scenic area. Though I previously visited this area, only recently I found out that there is also a glass walkway.
Location:
Xufuyan glass walkway is located in Xufuyan 徐凫岩scenic area at the western end of Xuedou Temple 雪窦寺, 7.5km northwest of Xuedou Temple, ~17km away from Chiang Kai Shek’s former residence in Xikou 溪口 Town.
The glass walkaway:
The glass skywalk lies on the cliff of Xufuyan Waterfall 徐凫岩瀑布, with a vertical height of 200 meters and total length of 260 meters. The length of pure glass road is the longest one in Zhejiang province! This sound pretty impressive already.
Xuedou Scenic spot:
The glass walkway is part of the Xuedou temple scenic area, though tickets can be purchased separately. However, you will still need to purchase ticket for Xufuyan Waterfall if you decide to see only the glass walkway.
If you never visited Xuedou Mountain and Temple, then it is well worth to see all the spots there (see my posts about these).
Tickets:
Entrance fee for Xufuyan scenic spot is 30RMB + 50RMB for glass walkway.
Getting there:
There is no public bus going directly to the Xufuyan scenic area and glass walkway, except the one which is included in the price of Xuedou Temple scenic area. It leaves regularly from Xuedou Mountain Tourist Service Center, which will take you to all the scenic spots, including Big Buddha, waterfalls and hiking trails there.
If driving a car or going by taxi, you have to enter 徐凫岩凌云渡玻璃栈道 in the navigation, and it will lead you straight to the entrance of Xufuyuan scenic spot and glass skywalk.

Hi, i have read your post about XUedou mountain & scenic spot.. i want to ask, if i want include budha statue, sanyin waterfall , monorail & cable car, can i still go to this glass walkway? can you describe me in detail how will i do that? and what stop number (for the bus inside the area) that stop here in glass walkway?
many thanks for your help
mimi
Hi! Yes, you can still go to glasswalk, whihc is located at the Xufuyan 徐凫岩 (you will see it as number 12 on the ticket). However, there is an additional fee for glass walkway which is 50 RMB.
When you get to the place where Buddha is located, you will see a bus stop. You need to take one of those buses but ask driver which point it is going first. If you can’t speak chinese, you can always just point the number where you want to go. Sanyin waterfall is number 11. I would recemmend starting with 徐凫岩, after visit waterfall, and can finish with the Buddha. 🙂
thank you
