Ningbo Dongqian Lake Waterpark 宁波东钱湖水上乐园

Located near Dongqian Lake the waterpark has for sure a beautiful location. The scenery is more impressive then the water park itself. Dongqian Lake water park is divided in several parts which include big swimming area (not deep), drifting area, slide area, children’s play area, food and leisure area and more. Though the park seems pretty big, the attractions seems bit too few.

Funny thing is that after you have paid for entrance, you still have to pay for swim ring separately, also the floating area is for separate fee, and when you have to pay for everything spearately more after you have paid for entrance already (which is not that cheap), you feel a bit cheated.

The park seemed a bit shabby, which is quite surprising considering the beautiful lake area it is located. Seems like the management doesn’t really care, which is sad. The dressing and shower rooms didn’t seem clean as well.

Another bad surprise is that there is only one slider you can go alone, the rest (which requires using swim rings) are possible to take only in two or four people. So you just have to come in a small group or wait and join others to enjoy the slide.

Entrance fee in high season (July, August) is 180 yuan per person, June and September – 120yuan. (Children have a discount).

The positive thing was that the park was not as crowded as I expected. Weekends might be pretty busy but if you go on a weekday it can be quite enjoyable.
