Recently I visited Ningbo Xuedou Mountain in Fenghua, Xikou 奉化溪口. This is probably one of the nicest spots around Ningbo which I would likely recommend when visiting Ningbo. Xuedou Temple 雪窦寺 is surrounded by Siming Mountains and every season it feels a bit different. The scenery is beautiful and has its unique characteristics each time of the year. This was my second visit to the Xuedou Temple and mountain. Though I didn’t learn from my mistake from the first time, I can say that trip was great. (We missed one spot due to coming too late).

If you arrive early at the scenic area, then you will have enough time to visit each point. However, we arrived at around lunch time and started with a temple and then hike in the mountains that took us around 2-3 hours. After we came back we wanted to go to the last point, unfortunately there were no more buses going there. So I missed one more waterfall which I will have to visit next time. Better is to start with it, before you need to make sure that bus is going there first though.

From this rock you get a spectacular view. It is located right at the start of a hiking trail.

Tickets: The entrance fee will cost you 150 RMB (it includes entrances in the scenic spots within Xuedou Temple scenic area and shuttle bus bringing you from one point to another). There will be additional fee of 50RMB for express (a small train) that will bring you to the waterfall and up the mountain with a cable car (no need to pay for it additionally if you paid express train fee already).
